Picture & Poem

Picture by Lindsay. Poem by Melissa.
Knowing & unknowing she went to sleep.
She rested her head on the pillow
on the bed to resist
normalcy, resist complacency:
to correct, make right.
There were no stars, just a pale
light from the flash of an airplane
through the open window. When she
closed her eyes her body was moving.

Knowing & unknowing she went to sleep.

She rested her head on the pillow

on the bed to resist

normalcy, resist complacency:

to correct, make right.

There were no stars, just a pale

light from the flash of an airplane

through the open window. When she

closed her eyes her body was moving.
